András is currently a data scientist at DAA Labs. Before switching to data science and machine learning he worked for Morgan Stanley for 13 years; first as a model review associate focusing on FX and Interest Rates derivatives, then as a member of the global FX Options strat team. As a strat and quantitative developer he was responsible for developing and implementing FX derivatives pricing models. As an Executive Director he was also the team lead of the Budapest FX team.
András is a theoretical physicist with a PhD in condensed matter physics from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. After getting his PhD he spent 3 years as a young researcher in the Low Temperature Research Group of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences working on unconventional superconductivity and density waves. Deep in his heart, András is still a physicist with strong interest in mathematical physics, math finance, machine learning, and programming (C++, Scala, Python).
